Been away

At a conference at a resort 3 days this week, ate very healthy but way too much food. Scared to way myself this morning, supposed to work but bad sinus headache. Just an UGH day today

End of the season

Ate the last cucumber yesterday morning then last evening we mowed the garden down, picked the last of the potatoes, squash and green beans. I have been doing much better than normal since I think I had a high blood sugar scare. I have always had normal blood sugars and Friday Amy who has gestational diabetes let me check mine and it was 153. I had had a huge breakfast and a small lunch of a peanut butter fiber bar about 20 min prior to that test. So I looked that number up and read on one site that was normal and on others that is high. So high or not I am doing much better eating and exercising.

Turning into a monkey

I have eaten 3 bananas this evening. I guess there could be worse snacks but when counting calories that is almost 300. Other than the banana binge I have done decent this week. The scale already down 2 lbs. Hoping for a successful weekend as well.

Fresh Peaches Plus

So far so good counting calories. Got a ton of fruit in today starting with fresh peaches from a tree overloaded in the yard, then raspberries, and watermelon. Then some other foods in between that were low in calorie, even snuck is a swim and mowing.

Starting over AGAIN

In a little over two weeks I gained back 5 lbs. So even though my knee is terrible and I will have very limited exercise options, I am started over back to my Lose It calorie counting program and focusing on more whole food choices instead of processed food. Here we go again geez

Corn Day 2010

Corn day starts early with a trip to Gritts to get the corn this trip only 28 dozen despite only asking for 20 dozen. Then a little over 2 hours to shuck and gather. A trip to my house to wash, blanch, cool, cut, bag and seal. Just finished up about 60 quarts but it sure will taste good this winter even though it was 11 hrs of hard work.
